What a Great Set to Help Enter Into the Pickleball World!
We decided “Hey, might as well get into the Pickleball scene” recently, but didn’t want to spend a fortune just incase we were not impressed. Well, it was super fun and now we are hooked. That being said, The MTEN set is a great way to get into the game without breaking the bank. When you can get 2 paddles, 4 balls, 2 over grips, and a carrying case for lower than the price of 1 paddle, I say, “go for it”!The paddles play great for their price point, but obviously not as great as a high end paddle. The sweet spot is not very large, but when you hit it, you can feel and hear it. If you are off slightly the ball does not travel far. They are light enough to not have much strain while playing, but heavy enough to still create power and not feel cheap. The grips are nice, but adding the over grip made a world of difference for me. It made the grip a little bigger but felt softer as well.The balls are not the best. I used them to see how they were, but purchased different ones right away. They are hard so they come off the paddle with a lot of force. If you aren’t careful, they are very easy to hit out of bounds long. Do yourself a favor and get different balls but keep these as backups.The case is a nice edition to keep everything together. We like to ride our bikes to the courts, so the case makes it easy to strap to my back for easy transportation. Even if you aren’t needing to carry these around, it serves as a nice storage case.The MTEN paddles are a great starter kit to get you into the game of Pickleball. I wish there were more paddle designs, but I guess it makes sense to keep costs down. If you want to get into the game, go with these and you won’t regret your decision.

Package Is So-So. Paddles Are A Hit!
Just started playing pickleball about 9 days ago, and I was hooked from the start! Iâm sure thatâs the case with many of the people who are looking at this paddle set now. Let me give you the impressions of someone whoâs been learning fast, and is already dedicating decent amount of time to the sport.Please donât expect too much from this package. The strap on the bag â which is nice looking enough â tore off at one end after a single use! Haha One of the four included balls was defective â like, literally, one of the holes was abnormally long and caused the ball to make a cracking sound upon being struck. Canât speak for the overgrips, as I havenât used them yet.But now to the most important part: the paddles themselves. To this absolute beginner, with experience in various sports and their equipment, they seem a pretty good value all by themselves. At the price I paid (about $36 dollars for the pair, as of this writing), they seem like a very good deal. Now, I have no idea if theyâll fall apart tomorrow, but the quality appears quite good. The sweet spot seems at least adequate, and the grips feel good in my fairly large hands. Iâm certain that the âgrippyâ material, which allows greater spin and control, is much better on more expensive models. (Actually, itâs non-existent on these. Haha) Although I already feel like itâs time to move on to better, more expensive paddles, Iâm loathe to give these up just yet. Theyâre really very good intro models. I bought them because I didnât want to spend too much money in case I didnât enjoy the game that much. But at the rate Iâm playing, Iâll probably destroy these before long anyway. Lol

Nice basic set
I play pickleball for fun 1-2 times per week and this is a nice, basic set with a lot of different color options. There are perhaps more expensive, high-end sets out there for really serious players, but I canât imagine how those pricey paddles could be that much different or better. The carrying case in this set is also nice and makes it easy to put the whole thing in your car trunk or gym bag, or you can just carry it alone with the shoulder strap. There is also some room inside for keys and a wallet, a small sunscreen, or whatever. One thing: The 4 balls that come with this set are the lighter indoor pickleballs, so if you are going to be playing outside, you will want to pick up a couple of the heavier outdoor balls, because it makes a difference.

We bought the paddle set after we tried pickleball for the first time as we didn’t have a set. It came with 4 balls, 2 paddles and a bag to hold everything. We stopped using it shortly though because we just upgraded our paddles as we became more serious. Great if you just want to play casually!

I had ordered these after using a really cheap wood set that was purchased at a local department store. The reviews seemed great and the price was right so I ordered. These are great, I’m pretty sure they are the exact same as one sold under another name at a competitor for well over $100. I am going to purchase a second set. The different graphic options are great as well.
