Amazing Paddle, but broke after 10 weeks
Received this paddle 10 weeks ago. I loved everything about it, until the handle came loose from the main paddle. This occurred on a normal forehand, not from any abuse that should break it. When attempting to go to Joola’s USA support website, the site is down “DNS resolution error 1001”. I will update the review if I can actually get support from Joola, as this is a 5-star paddle prior to the reliability issue.** UPDATE **The website came back online after 12 hours. I filed a claim. The next day, they reached out to me to offer a replacement paddle. Wonderful customer service. I changed the rating to 5-star.

Difference was crazy
So I have only been playing about a year of pickleball. I have been using some paddles my wife had bought and they were cheap, but worked. I have a tendency to always spin the ball when I play. I wanted to spin it more, but with the cheap paddles, I was working them to their max. I bought my wife a better paddle as we were to be in a tournament. I played with her paddle and it is nice, I like the differences, so I started looking for a paddle for me, I came across the reviews on this one. It is pricey, but worth it. The reaction of the ball to the paddle is amazing. It is grips, and has a bigger sweet spot like I would have on a tennis racket. I was very impressed. I even had some of my spins back up the ball on a dink, which I was never able to do with the cheap paddles. Well worth the money, it is quality, it is so much better than I thought it might be. Great product. My wife hates my serves, spins and returns now hahahahahaha

Very disappointing
I am very disappointed with this Joola Hyperion paddle. I started playing pb about four years ago , am intermediate level, and play four to five times a week. Iâve been using a couple Gamma paddles and have been happy with them until one delaminated (probably from being left in my car too long in cold weather). I decided Iâd upgrade and get this Joola Hyperion because of the hype around it. Turns out that was a mistake. The first time I used it, fresh out of the packaging, I thought I had inadvertently picked up my old delaminated paddle. The ball came off it with a clunk and barely made it to the net. I played with it for a while only to find it continued that hollow clunk and required a lot of muscle to get it over the net with any speed. I switched back to my other Gamma. I used it off and on for a few weeks thinking I might adjust to it, but nothing changedâstill the hollow clunk, very little power, no notable sweet spot, and generally poor response. Finally I was playing a couple hours with my Gamma, which performed very well, then switched to the Hyperion for another try My first serve clunked off the paddle and to the side. My return shots could barely make it to the net unless I put a lot of muscle behind it. With that, I decided Iâd had enough. I was planning to return it only to find I had missed the Amazon return window by four days. So now I am stuck with an expensive mistake that I probably will not use again. My advice: Caveat emptor, stay away from this product or be prepared to return it right away.

This paddle has great control, and a nice snap when you hit the sweet spot. My previous paddles have had a dead spot near the very top of the paddle. This one does not.The most expensive paddle I have ever bought, but well worth it.
